Choose your two or three main colors that will compliment your theme. Put out your lime green tablecloths, with brown or red table settings. Put out one of the centerpieces you find here, or create your own.

You can put out plush animals in pairs at each table. Surround them with dark green or brown wreaths and lift the up on stand so that they will be recognized as centerpieces. Blow up helium balloons and mylar balloons in the same color scheme you choose and be sure to have all your mylar balloons in identical pairs to keep with the twin theme.

Have some fun baking up two small cakes for your Twin baby shower. Bake two square cakes and cut off about 1-2 inches off one corner on each cake. Put the two cakes together at the corners forming two “diamond” shaped cakes that form one larger cake. Cover them together with fondant or frosting to make them into one cake.

If you’re concerned about them moving apart or shifting, use 3 to 4 toothpicks inside the cakes as anchors. Use the same color lime green fondant or frosting to cover the cake (now one cake) and then use brown or red or both colors to spice up the edges of the cake with icing or fondant.

Carve pairs of animals from gum paste or fondant to place neatly on your cake or use icing or frosting to draw pairs of baby animals on your cake. If you purchase the themes on this page have them handy so you can easily copy the images onto your cake.

Ask for 8 volunteers for this hilarious game. You’ll need a wide open space with no furniture or objects people can trip on or fall over. Pair up your 8 volunteers and seperate them into four groups. Give each group an index card with one of the four words on it: Monkeys, Lions, Elephants, Hyenas. Tell them to memorize the animal then blindfold all 8 volunteers.

Have two or three other volunteers help you separate the volunteers and scatter them all over the room. Tell them they have 2 minutes to locate their mate by making only animal noises of the animal they were given on the cards. It’s going to get pretty noisy with all the animal noises and hilarious laughter so have your camera ready. Give prizes to the team that locates their mate first.
