Pirate Baby Shower
Pirate Baby Shower
Ahoy matey! Are you ready to bring out the scalawag in you? Then let’s start finding ways to turn your landlubber friends and family into ocean scoundrels to celebrate the coming of your wee pirate.
Pirate Baby Shower Decorations
Cover your tables with some baby skull table covers and you walls with full wall ocean scenery. Look for some cute baby pirate ship wall appliques to paste on your ocean walls and then look to balloons. Get balloons in the colors you chose for your piratey theme.
You’ll need to accompany those rubber balloons with some mylar pirate ships, swords, or skulls. Twist your streamers around and stick them up in the corners of your party room leading to the center. Cover your tape with more rubber balloons and you’re in business! Finally be sure to place a few pirate centerpieces on each of your tables. This can be a bowl of mints with a pirate ship “floating” on top.
Baby Shower Cake Ideas

Your baby pirate cake should be in the shape of a pirate ship and placed on a cake stand that will allow you to put a skirt around it. The skirt can be blue to represent water, or you can even use some of that left over wall applique and neatly wrap the cake stand. Put some gum paste or fondant pirates all over your cake and be sure to include a baby in diapers somewhere in there wielding a sword (and a diaper). Make the baby the captain of the ship to add to the baby humor. When you serve your baby shower cake stick a sword toothpick into the top of each cake slice for added emphasis on the theme.
Pirate Baby Shower Game Ideas
The drunken pirate mom: To play this game you’ll need two sets of eye patches, a baby doll, and a baby car seat or stroller decorated like a pirate ship or with the same theme you decorated your party room with. Each guest will take a turn being the drunken pirate mom. Have the drunken pirate mom hold the baby doll. Cover her eyes with both patches. Spin her around three times and tell her she needs to go put the baby to bed. Have the other guests guide her to the stroller or car seat.
