Halloween Baby Shower Cakes Idea
Halloween Baby Shower Cakes
It’s almost All Hallows Eve aka Halloween. Spooky scenes of ghoulish trickery and fiendishly sweet treats are beginning to creep up and you have a baby shower to plan. Why not combine the two and in the process create a Halloween baby shower cake to appease your ghastly guests?
Decorate with black, orange, and yellow to keep with the colors of the season and to make sure all your festive decorations. Use your frosting, fondant, and gum paste to create jack-o-lanterns, scarecrows, ghosts, and goblins on your Halloween baby shower cake. Just to keep with the baby theme, put some diapers on your scarecrows and stick tiny pacifiers in your goblin’s mouths as these miniature monsters stampede over a trick or treat scene on the surface of your cake.
Does the idea of crafting all those miniatures seem like a daunting task? Then perhaps you may want to stick with a more traditional 2-Dimensional illustration on your cake using a combination of frosting and icing in all your eerie colors. Paint a cheering picture of babies climbing into jack-o-lanterns, skeletons chewing on pacifiers, or pregnant mommies being chased by gremlins.
Drape bats made from black fondant around the bottom of your cake and carefully write a celebratory message on your cake using the opposite color you used for to cover your cake. If, for example you covered your cake in black, then use orange to write. If you used orange to cover your cake then write in black.
Raise your cake onto a cake stand made with black or silver twisted metal and place spider webs that you can find at your local party store or online all around the table where you place your cake.
Finally, place a laughing skull near your cake. You’ll be sure to find one that take batteries and has eyes that light up with eerie delight. Happy Halloween Mommy and Baby...mwa ha haaaa....

This cute Cake was made by Candice Flores from Belen, New Mexico Buttercream base and fondant covered pumkin.

A great idea for a Baby Shower Cake made byJennifer Covington in Las Vegas, Nevada First time I've ever made a tiered cake and first time working with fondant. It was for my sister's baby shower. The bottom layer is pumpkin and the top is carrot with cream cheese frosting. The accents are done in fondant.

I made this cake for a customer who was throwing a baby shower for a friend. This friend is due to have her baby girl on Halloween. The cake is 10" & 8" chocolate round tiers with buttercream icing, accented with hand molded gumpaste figures. It was soooo much fun making this cake!
