What a wonderful time to have and host a fall theme baby shower celebration. Break out your brown, red, yellow, and orange curtains, drapes, and table covers as well as all your scarecrow and pumpkin décor because fall is in the air and you are expecting!
Let’s start with those tables. Cover them with some beautiful orange table covers or use one of several fall theme tablecloths we display. Put out your cutest placemat settings and a cornucopia or other baby fall theme centerpiece. Sprinkle some autumn-looking sparkly confetti over your tables and string up your yellow and brown streamers from corner to corner and corner to the center of your party room. If you have some baby pumpkins, scarecrows, or dried corn decorations those will also bring out the autumn atmosphere in your party room.
Fall Baby Shower Theme Cake IdeasI know autumn is the season things dry up and fall away, but make sure your baby shower cake isn’t dry. Your baby shower cake should be plump and full of festive decorations just like your party room. Use the same colors you used to decorate your party room for your fondant, gum paste, frosting, or icing. You’ll probably throw in some white as well, but since white is neutral, that won’t be a problem. Make scarecrows, pumpkins, and red, brown, yellow, and orange leaves from gum paste and/or fondant to place around your fall baby shower cake.
Give your cake a lift with an autumn colored theme cake stand then surround the cake with all your other fall decorations. High on your list of decorations should be baby rattles, bottles, pacifiers, and miniature strollers, and babies that are either dressed or colored in the same colors of fall to keep them from clashing with the rest of your decorations. Include a few bowls of candy corn and candy pumpkins on either side of your cake.
Fall Baby Shower Theme Game IdeasThis game may take a little time to prepare, but the fun your guests will have will be well worth it. Purchase a few trash bags full of packing popcorn, three cans of spray paint or water based paint in red, brown, and yellow, a small plastic baby and a glue gun.Separate the popcorn into three batches and have someone paint one batch red, one brown, and one yellow to simulate autumn leaves. If you can find some paint that mixed well with water, this can be done just by letting the popcorn float around for a few minutes to absorb the paint. Use the glue gun to stick the plastic baby on one of the pieces of popcorn then put all the popcorn back in the bags when they’re dry. Your guests will have to sift through the autumn “leaves” to find the baby and win a prize.
