Construction Baby Shower

Our construction baby shower theme is the perfect option for mommies-to-be who simply cannot wait to roll up their sleeves and dig in the sand with their new baby boy!

Construction Baby Shower Decorations

Where would our world be without construction? Everywhere you look you’ll find those big dozers, cranes, and tractors pulling, pushing, and swinging loads of all kinds to make everything from your house to the tallest skyscrapers. It’s no wonder they instill such creativity and imagination in our hearts. Decorate your baby shower celebration from floor to ceiling with the prettiest yellow tractor decorations on the net. Have a few hardhats available for you guest to wear as they enter your baby zone. Take some blue and yellow table covers and gently cover your tables. Then sprinkle a few handfuls of yellow and blue confetti shaped like tractors and bulldozers.

Put out some candy bars and cover them with the same themed candy bar wrappers. Put out blue and yellow balloons filled with helium and then add one or two baby under construction mylar balloons in the midst of those rubber balloons.

Take yellow and blue streamers and twist them around then tack them up in the corners of your party room and cover the tacks with more balloons. If you have a ceiling fan, tape one streamer to the end of each fan blade and have the fan on slow mode.

Construction Baby Shower Cake Ideas

Build your cake to epic proportions and place it up on a cake stand structure that looks as close to your theme as possible. If you can’t find a cake stand that fits quite right, then use a bit of wall border from your theme and wrap it around the cake stand neatly. You cake should have a half dozen miniature tractors and bulldozers made from gum paste.

Add some cute eyes to each one of them to give them that baby tractor look you might see on a cartoon. If you want your tractors looking more cartoonish than real tractors, make them a little more round than square and exaggerate the trim on the edges.

Construction Game Ideas

Pull out the Lincoln logs or Jenga blocks and have your own “build the crib” contest. Give each guest a big heaping handful of blocks and have them build their own interpretation of a crib, a stroller, or any toy that a baby might play with. Give prizes for fastest builder, most creative builder, or anything else that strikes your fancy.
