Baby Shower Decorations
So you’re fortunate enough to have your baby shower right around one of the most loved holidays - Christmas! Okay so you’ll have to gather around all your ideas, but for the most part your party room might already be decorated. So if you don’t already have your green and red table cloths neatly draped over your tables, go ahead and do so now. If you haven’t put up your tree, do it today, and if you haven’t hung some mistletoe over the doorway, you’re lagging. Get it done, get it done. After all this you have to decorate above and beyond for your Christmas baby shower celebration. Hang out a christmas list written in your’s or someone else’s neat handwriting. At the top of the list put your soon-to-be born child’s name, given you already know his or her name. Put up a full wall applique in your party room with a wintery forest, Christmas scene you might find in a Frosty the snow man or Rudolph claymation movie. Sprinkle green and red metallic confetti in Christmas shapes like trees, ornaments, and candy canes. After this, be sure to put out a few centerpieces. You can choose from some of the centerpieces we have on this page or create some of your own like miniature Christmas trees with babies gift wrapped under the tree.
Christmas Baby Cake Ideas
Your Christmas baby shower cake can be in the shape of a Christmas tree, a candy cane, a Santa Claus, a sled, or a simple shape like a square or round cake. If you pick one of the latter, you’ll want to hand decorate with either a Christmas scene made from gum paste characters like Frosty, Rudolph, Santa, or a combination of the three. Have Santa in his sled with a few babies gift wrapped in back of his sled or putting a gift wrapped baby under a tree.
Christmas Baby Shower Game Ideas
Gift wrap enough gifts for each of your guests. These gifts can be small trinkets worth a few dollars that you would find in a dollar store. Or you can include just a few premium gifts. Play the game known as the white elephant, but add a baby shower twist. The white elephant game in case you’ve never played it, involves each person taking turns to grab an unopened gift. The next person has the choice of either choosing from the opened gifts or selecting a new one. Make it mandatory, however, that if someone wants to “steal” from another person they have to first throw a baby tantrum, saying, “I want it! I want it! I want it!!!!” This will make people think twice about stealing from others, but may cause some hysterical laughing when someone over-reacts!
