Baby Shower Gift Cards

I would totally love to receive baby shower gift cards instead of gifts so i can get whatever I would like. I don't want to be rude but how is a polite way to let my guests know I really want gift cards?

If, however, aunt Mabel, insists on those booties she knitted herself, then just smile and show your appreciation. There’s no point in getting worked up over a $10 gift card.
