Sometimes, in lieu of a baby shower cake, or in addition to a cake, you may decide to have some baby shower cupcakes available for your guests to nibble on. These make an attractive addition to your baby shower edibles, and help create a fuller table when your cake just doesn’t seem to fill up the table.
If you’re not too keen on the idea of durable cupcake stands, then consider the disposable kind made from paper that can come in the same color theme as you might find on this page.If even that idea doesn’t quite strike your fancy, then think about placing all your cupcakes on a simple cake stand. Afterward, decorate the cake stand with whatever theme you’re presenting. Take some leftover wall border from the theme you selected and wrap it around the cake stand neatly.
These adorable baby shower cupcakes on a cupcake stand add such beautiful decor to your baby shower.
We included 60 cupcakes with pale blue vanilla and chocolate icing for a baby shower this weekend. Perched atop this cupcake stand is a baby blue cake with chocolate brown polka dots and a mom to be made out of sugar paste!
This cake topper with cutout flower cupcakes was based off an pea-in-a-pod invitation sent to us by our client. We baked 100 cupcakes and included our 5 tier cupcake stand for the baby shower. The flavors included vanilla with coconut buttercream, almond cake with raspberry chambord, chocolate cake with coffee buttercream and red velvet with vanilla buttercream.
We created a tier topped with an Ark that matched the invitation. The cupcakes were wrapped in leopard print liners and topped with stitched animal cutouts (except for the bottom row which depicted the ’sea’ with sugar fish and other sea life.) 3D sugar animals were hanging out amongst the cupcakes. For the tables we added animal cookies (2 by 2 of course), along with their own burlap sack, at each place setting.
