Yummy Baby Shower Appetizers Appetizer Meatballs Ingredients:2 cups ketchup1/2 cup water1/2 cup white vinegar1/2 cup honey2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon dried minced onion1/4 teaspoon pepper1 dash garlic powderdash cayenne pepper2 1/2 pounds frozen fully cookedmeatballs Directions:1. In a Dutch oven, combine the first nine ingredients Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, thaw meatballs in microwave according to package directions. ~Baby Shower Appetizers~ Blue Cheese Appetizer Pizza Ingredients * 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed * 3 tablespoons olive oil * 2 teaspoons dried basil * 2 teaspoons dried oregano * 1 teaspoon garlic powder * 1 small red onion, thinly sliced, pulled into rings * 2 plum tomatoes, chopped * 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided * 3 ounces crumbled blue cheese * 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Directions 1. Divide bread dough in half. Press each portion onto the bottom of a 12-in. pizza pan coated with nonstick cooking spray; build up edges slightly. Prick dough several times with a fork. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. 2. Brush dough with oil. Combine the basil, oregano and garlic powder; sprinkle over dough. Bake at 425 degrees F for 10 minutes. Arrange onion and tomatoes over crust; sprinkle with cheeses. Bake 8-10 minutes longer or until golden brown. By Kathy Stanaway
~Baby Shower Appetizers Cheese and Sausage Appetizers Ingredients * 1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese, room temperature * 1/2 pound butter or margarine, softened * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon black or cayenne pepper * 8 ounces pork sausage, cooked and drained Directions 1. In large mixer bowl, combine cheese, butter, flour, salt and pepper. Beat with electric mixer on medium-low speed. Stir in cooked sausage. Form dough into 1-in. balls; place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm or cold. Store in refrigerator or freezer. ~Baby Shower Appetizers~ Cucumber and Olive Appetizers Ingredients * 1 large cucumber * 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened * 1/4 cup blue cheese salad dressing * 1 (1 pound) loaf cocktail rye bread * 15 pimento-stuffed green olives, chopped Directions 1. Using the tines of a fork, score the unpeeled cucumber lengthwise on all sides. Slice the cucumber into 1/4-inch thick rounds. 2. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese and blue cheese dressing.
