Little baby boy wrapped up snug and warmDream happy dreams, we’ll keep you from harmYour mom and dad have planned for this dayYour very existence was created this way

There are a great many things in store for youMany trees to climb, telescopes to look throughYou’ll have your parents, grandparents, uncles and auntsSo many to watch you and dust off your pants

When you look at your parents, you’ll see you lucked outTo be born into this family and of that there’s no doubtThere are so many things to look forward toAnd so many people to see what you’ll do.

You’ll have the best life that your parents can giveThey’ll do what it takes to make sure of thisYou come from good stock and your future looks brightYou’re in good hands, son, sleep well tonight.

Quite child, do not scream Now is the time to dream Pony rides and Puppy dogs Real big slides and Lincoln logs

Take and rest upon the sheet And may all your dreams be sweet Lollipops and golden hen Robots and army men

So lay down upon the bed While these tings dance in your head Acrobats and kitty cats

Bumper cars and movie stars All these things you do not know Spaghetti O’s and play dough You will someday So sleep and grow.

When baby cries, he cries And how he makes me shiver, I so dislike those crocodile tears, Crocodiles belong in the river!

But when he laughs, he laughs And fills my heart with pleasure. I hold most dear, the happy times Those precious days to treasure.

And when he loves, he loves Melting my heart within me. I imagine I'm in another world When baby boy smiles sweetly.
