Place your themed table covers over each one of your tables. Spin your multicolored streamers and tape or pin them to the corners of your party room. Tape or pin the other end of the streamers into the center of the room and cover your pin spots with balloons so your guests won’t see tape or push pins.

Now place some plush equipment in the middle of each of your tables to serve as centerpieces. Surround the plush baseball bats and footballs with miniature pompoms that a cheerleader doll might have. You’ll have no trouble finding sports confetti to toss around your tables and on top of your tables. They’ll come in metallic colors and shapes like footballs and baseball bats. Put some metal referee whistles draped over each chair for you friends and family to blow from time to time.

Sports Theme Cake Ideas

Make your cake into a football or baseball field. Be sure to use fondant or frosting to make all your bases, referees, goalposts, and sidelines. Then prepare your gum paste because you are going to craft teams of baby football or baseball players. You should include all the equipment they would normally have, but leave the pants off and make them with diapers only. Remember to have them crawling on the field not standing or running. You may as well make the refs babies too for that matter. If you have a football field, make some baby cheerleaders as well.

Fun Game Ideas

Baby football toss: Take a Nerf football and wrap it up in a diaper. Now take a baby car seat or a baby stroller and place it about 10 to 15 feet away. Give each guest a chance to toss the baby football into the baby stroller. If the distance is too great or too short simple adjust the stroller or car seat.
